What do I need, a smart phone or PDA?

I am looking for a small device to take to Europe this April. I want something that will hold my snail mail addresses, email addresses, plays music, and holds pictures. If it happens to have a phone as part of the package, I'd like it to be able to use some sort of pre-paid service while I am across the pond. I have a digital camera and I'd like to be able to upload my pictures on a daily basis and be sure that I'll still have all of them when I get home. I'd like to be able to download a book to read while I'm there and a game or two would be nice, though I hardly ever play more than a hand or two of Spider solitaire. Hmmmm, tracking travel expenses would be a plus and so would having access to email to verify hotel reservations and such. A GPS would put it over the top.

Does such a thing exsist, and if it does, will it cost an arm and a let?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Granny, <who is mighty confused these days with all the high tech toys out there.>
