Resolved Question

What do i choose for graphic workstaition

Jun 29, 2018 2:37AM PDT

greatings greats Guy!S!

I'm student in universty of Science and Engineering.

My dream of an engineer, so I practice design and for that, I use programs like Solidworks.

starting with 3d prlint, I am studying that rocket lens and etc.

.... but my computer is broken.... demmm

So i have to buy another computer but i don't know what i should buy that.

Maybe i'd have to use for 3 years at least.

I prefer the durability and safety of the laptop and pursue convenience and balance. I mean, i don't find high spec.

2in1 or not i don't mind. Please Please freely recommend it.

Thanks to read. And have good day.

Ah.
The budget is around $ 700. thank you.

What were the (hardware) specs of your old computer, and were they good enough for you? If yes, can you find a comparable or better new PC inside your budget? Which ones, for example?

Forget existing computers. This is a model 3 years ago so I can not refer to it.
But desktop is last year's model.

Xeon 7th gen (same with intel i7)
Nvidia 1060 3gb
1T hdd
12g ram.

But I am living in a dormitory. And my chash is not too much. It would be about 700$.
I know i know there are not many choose. so i have question

Are flip laptops good convenience? I mean when I use a design or a design program. Wel... drwaing or don't use mouse. Or well anything.

Solidworks

Solidworks does run on a lot of laptops. Even if they want you to use a higher end "Workstation" class GPU. I won't duplicate the web about Solidworks and GPU choices but I'd put the bottom at the 1050 GPU and the i5 CPU. Now can you find a laptop in your price range with those minimums or better?

As to a flip design, it would be costly to restrict yourself to flip laptops so your budget DICTATES what you will be getting.
