What determines font and font size?

Jul 24, 2007 12:42PM PDT

I've posted in the desktop forum three times today and each time the font has been different and the last time and this posting the size is so small that I can barely read it. Is there something in the profile that sets the font and font size or is it take what you get as you go? Maybe the size is to discourage my posting anything.
TIA
KyBlu

It's a browser setting...

The forums have had a few problems today, mostly due to a power outage, but I don't believe font size was one of them. (Though it is possible.) The forums themselves don't support adjustable fonts or font sizes, making them all, theoretically, identical. Any 'adjustments' are made by your browser, so that's where I'd start looking. Remember, to adjust the font size on the go hold down ctrl and use the scroll wheel or arrow keys to increase/decrease as needed.

It wasn't the final posting

Tom:

It's while I am typing the message that it is too small to read. It looks fine after it is posted. I'm typing this now in a font size so small that I have a tough time seeing what I've typed. It looks like agate type.

As Kees says, it is a browser setting

I don't know what browser you are using but there will be settings in Tools > Options. Web pages don't usually change their font and font size.

Look for some Advanced setting under Fonts or Colors that says something like, "Allow web pages to choose their own fonts", or similar and make sure that is selected.
