Question

What can I try to get this camera working again?

Oct 18, 2014 9:59AM PDT

Hello everyone,
I have the Sony DCR-HC19E camera.
The thing was working perfectly fine except the screen was black. I opened it up and the flex cable for the screen was broken in two. I got a new cable and tested it with the camera taken apart to see if it worked. Everything worked just fine (both the screen and the touch function + the camera made the normal noises when the screen options are selected). I leave the camera like that as I had to leave and get back to put everything back together 1 day later.
I try to turn the camera ON and nothing happens. I try to plug the charger cable in. The CHG LED lights up so I leave the camera like that (still wouldn't turn on) for a few hours. Now the CHG light is off and the camera still doesn't turn on.

What can I do or what should I check for? I have already checked every cable connection and they all seem properly connected.
