If pleased, you may later want to buy a DVR

For some reason I read that Tivo doesn't work right with Digital cable and you have to buy something else, Comcast offers a dvr for $9.95 a month so it would be better to buy something, but what do I get, to pause live tv, record and make tv better, is there anything out there that would work on 3 tv's in the same house?

although Comcast is the biggest, it's not my cable company. Perhaps their DVR isn't Tivo brand or is adapted. The $9.95 a month would let you see if you're really going to get into your recording for timeshifting, etc. If so then, quit paying rent & go out & get yourself a DVR.

There has to be plenty of Comcast knowledge people who will respond with accurate info.
