What Can I Do With My Faulty Mp3 Player?

Well I Got My Philips GoGear SA3025/37 3 yrs ago and I went through Troubleshooting and it said my Mp3 Player is faulty and my warranty expired so now i don't know what to do with it because its not recognized by my computer so i cant access it to install anything to it but its recognized by device manager and it makes that noise when you plug it into the pc, So is there anything i can do to help it because I gotta trip Sunday So please help and i got the stuff to take it apart so if theres something wrong with the hardware i could try to fix it please help i need to get something done ASAP.

Try to reset it. I had similar problem with my mp3 player (Sony) and resetting fixed it.

resetting or recycling may be the only option

gadgets like these often have fairly cheap hardware and it eventually fails. It may be time to send it to the great recycle bin in the sky. Aside from that, a full reset and reformat would be worth a try.
