What can i do???

Apr 20, 2005 2:02PM PDT

Ok guys, here's the deal. I have an Epson Stylus C84. I have never really had any serious problems with it. Well recently, my black ink went out, so i replaced the cartridge. The printer read it as "full" but no ink was coming out on the paper. I thought maybe it was defective so i took it back and got a new one. I am still having the same problem. If the nozzle is clogged for some reason, is there any way to fix it, that won't use up all of my ink. I have got to figure this out though. I am working on my senior projoect and am too broke and impatient right now to try and figure this out. If anyone could help, i would appreciate greatly. Thank you!

What can I do?

I have a C-86 and one thing that happened to me is some of the tape from the original packaging did not come off when I pulled the tab to remove it on the new cartridge. I know it sounds stupid, but did you check that? Also did you run the tests for cleaning the heads, etc? Found mine gets tempermental sometimes and needs to be reset.

Kinko's and your friends.

By the time you get to your senior project you have friends with working printers to help bail you out or you head to kinko's.

If you turned the power off to the printer

at any time during the changing process you can foul up the printers logic. The changeover takes place while power remains on.

If, perchance, you did turn off the power, just rerun the process properly and remove and replace the same cartridge.
