What can I buy for...

After seeing from R.Proffitt and Oldartq I have decided to get a surround sound system whose receiver should have and support dts hd master audio and dolby true hd files. So I request anybody to help me find the best brand and product to get. Consider that it should strictly support dts hd master audio and dolby true hd movies, musics, audio etc., Also suggest which channel configuration suits the best audio clarity either 5.1 or 7.1.

Maybe give us a budget you have in mind and...

see if we can help you find one. AVR with or without speakers. If you already have the speakers...what is it?

Up to 30,000 Indian rupees. Will be much better if you could show me one below this price (say <20,000/- Indian rupees).

Sorry I am not familiar with stores in India but...

about a week ago, I would have been able to purchase a Denon receiver for 20,000 rupees, but that was here in the U. S.. Of course bargain/discount comes and goes and I am not able to show you that one now.

Now on other call...

So good to see from you people, and now on an other call that apart from our surround sound topic I have diverted my self to another need. What can I do to keep my self up to date with latest coming inventions(projects) and new technologies regarding automobiles, gadgets etc., i,e., should I sign in to any special websites so that I will be receiving regular messages giving me with up dated technology news? or is there any special measure to undergo with cnet to get my need done?

I'm not a fan of choosing by brand.

Long story could follow about how each brand has hits and misses.

But let's say I was going to shop for this today. First I agree with prior posts (here and on the web) that 7.1 is for large rooms. You should read that. Also, I have yet to find I need to think about more than 5.1. That is, I have ignored hd master and shopped before and liked the results. So how would I do this today?

I'd have to think about my goals. There are some that want deafening volumes but not me. Also my space for the big screen is not overly large so for me shopping is simple.

Receiver. I'd check the best sellers like

The first 5.1 model today is there and I see a 7.1 later if you feel you must. Specs are there and online to see if they have your audio questions answered.

Speakers. Same idea. Link: finds the usual Energy 5.1 set so that would do for me.

I see AmazonBasics wire offered and would also check out complete bundles listed at
