If you want to stay with Sony cameras choose the Sony H1.
Sony just announced (in Feb) two new cameras in this series..... the H2 and H5.
I don't think they are in the stores yet.
The Canon S2 IS is another popular camera of this type.

I need a digital camera to take Sports Action shots (Jr. high baseball) and make quality 8 x 10 reprints. No or little shutter lag is important. Would like an above average optical zoom so I can get a good shot from the sideline. I have a Sony 3.2 mp. DSC-S75 now, about 4 years old, and has been ok for family shots, but believe I need a higher megapixel for this project. Also, the shutter lag is very long. I am thinking of at least a 4 and hopefully a 6. I like Sony and Olympus brands, but would consider Canon but no off brand.
