Question

What Camcorder For Recording Baseball?

Sep 22, 2013 9:58AM PDT

Hello,

I currently have a JVC Everio GZ-MG630SU and record baseball games behind home plate on tripod. The problem I have is rarely can I get first and third base in the whole picture. What camcorder would you suggest that would work for this and still have good picture? Or maybe settings are my problem?

Thanks,

Frazierface

Yes that is what I have, I recorded some with my FUJI camera which is HD and is much better than the JVC I have. Will look for something HD for sure, the Panasonic HC-V720 as mentioned in a response looks like the one, just pricing issues.

Thanks,

Wide Angle

It looks as if you need a wide angle lens. One option is to look for a screw in lens (like a filter) to widen the field. The second option is a camcorder with a wide angle shown for the lens. Example the Panasonic HC-V720 has a 28mm lens.
