Question

What boot Voltages should I run for my i7 7700k?

Oct 29, 2018 11:17AM PDT

I've been having trouble booting up my PC and also waking it up from "sleep" mode on Window 10. When I boot up my PC there is a white light on the motherboard that is code for CPU error. There is a 50/50 shot it will start up correctly and I'm wondering if I need to change the boot voltages of the CPU.

These are the different boot voltages I can change and what settings I have them on right now.

Boot Voltages:
CPU Core/Cache boot voltage: auto
DMI boot voltage: auto
CPU system agent boot voltage: auto
CPU VCCIO boot voltage: auto
CPU standby boot voltage: auto

PC Specs:

MOBO: Asus ROG Strix Z270-E Gaming
CPU: Intel I7 7700k
GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1070ti
PS: 850 watt gold plus standard thermaltake
RAM: 2x8 GB G.Skill trident Z RGB 3000 mhz
M.2: Samsung 960 evo 250GB (boot drive)
Display: running Asus vg248qe through DP and asus vs247h through HDMI

I have already took the computer apart and assembled it once again to see if reseating was the problem. I also took the MOBO battery out and resetting the CMOS.

Also the MOBO bios is updated and all drivers are updated as well. The only thing I have changed in the bios is overclocking the RAM to XMP which seemed to help with the stability of booting sometimes.

Any suggestions would be great.
