What are the best firewalls for Vista

I recently bought a new computer that has the Vista OS. I found out real fast that not all software is compatible with the new OS. I first tried Norton....Big mistake. It caused my computer to crash each time I tried to install it. (Blue screen of death) This was a brand new laptop so I took it back thinking it was the computer. Only to find out later that Norton is offering their trial ware on computers/OS's that it's not even compatible with. Now that I know what not to use, what would be my best bet?

Norton is compatible, provided you have the latest version installed. McAfee, Computer Associates, ZoneAlarm, Kaspersky, and others are also Vista-compatible. However, if you would prefer a free option you can click here for a list of the top contenders. I have not updated the list yet, but ZoneAlarm has also released the new version of their free firewall, which can be downloaded by clicking here.
