What are alternatives to Outlook?

Nov 3, 2004 3:52AM PST

Say I want a general-purpose e-mail manager to work with my web-site-based e-mail address, but I don't want to use a Microsoft product. Are there any reasonable alternatives out there?

I have a Netscape Mail account, and now that they have upped the limit to 250MB from 5.0MB it is more useful, but I also want the capability to save incoming and outgoing web-based mail to my own hard drive, as Outlook does. Is there any other general-purpose e-mail program that does that? Does Netscape do that and I just don't know it?

What is the email client with Mozilla or Netscape?

Here, it is under the Window menu item titled "Mail a& Newsgroups".

It's not a PIM like Outlook, but has most things except the calendar. I don't teach how to use such software, but can point out where such is.
