What about multiple wireless networks within the same system

Mar 10, 2005 10:30PM PST

I use a PocketPC connected to my 802.11b network. I ripped my CD collection, and am considering setting up a new 802.11g to access the collection with a notebook or a wireless media server - I ripped it to a lossless format, so the 802.11b would be a bit too slow.

I hear there is a "turd in a punchbowl" effect, where the entire network will revery to 802.11b if my PPC is connected.

What if I were to keep my 802.11b router set up, and add an 802.11g router -- Can I use both simultaneously to keep the "g" at a higher speed?

Would this work? How would I set up everything? What about connecting it?

Thanks!
