YES IT DOES DO WPA.
No, I don't have the manual so you have to dive into the menus to set it up.
If you don't secure your router with WPA and leave SSID broadcasting you should experience drops aplenty.
In closing I now own his old 327w since it seems to have died. Verizon sent him a new gateway dsl/wifi router. The 327w was just fine prior to the lightning storm.
I'm having wireless problems with my 327w Westell modem, hub, router, esque.... I can get a signal, will successfully connect, but within minutes the connection will die and won't be seen for hours on end. I have Verizon DSL and was wondering if i could buy a more efficient wireless router to hook up to my current Westell, and if it is of any help I plan to hook up a Nintendo Wii, At least one Laptop, and a Nintendo DS to the connection.
And also is their a way i can set security to the connection?
