Well its official

by jmhal / January 25, 2006 9:35 AM PST

Looks like I will be going to Penn State next fall for college where I'll be majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Although I wasn't able to get into the Main Campus, I'll be going to the Lehigh Valley branch for two years at most. At least now I can relax a bit, I was starting to get worried because Penn State was the only University I applied to.

on the big quad. He's one of the classiest coaches in college football...one of the last of a dying breed. Sounds like a tough road you've set on and it's unusual to hear one who's focused on a career path this soon. Good luck and don't be a stranger.

Attending classes at the branch will, IMO, serve you well. There you will get some standard degree requirements out of the way before going to the "big campus", and those freshman/sophomore ones might be more readily available. I know that my kids ran into a couple of courses that tthey needed but were already filled.

I'm impressed with your choice of fields. That tells me you are good in math, which I always admire. Happy

Are you starting in the Spring term? Let us know how it's going!

Gotta graduate High School first. And yeah math and science have always been a strong point for me and I really enjoy them, literature on the other hand, yuk.

Aerospace Engineering, huh? Sounds impressive and full of math!! Yuck for me, but my older son was an absolute whiz at math related stuff. He would appreciate your mind and intelligence.

Good luck and prayers for all ahead for you. It is such a treat to see a person be excited and have such enthusiasm for a step toward their future. You will do well, I have no doubt.

As was stated above, study hard and party soft - The social aspect of college is important, just don't let it overshadow your true goals.

And, as was pointed out by Steven earlier, don't be a stranger to SE. We want to remain in touch with you. Grin

Take care,
--Marcia/Oregon
