The positive side: a certain protection against unauthorized use of the PC and unauthorized access to your private data (if you've put a password on your account).

But, frankly speaking, I don't see any relation to a 'driver fault'. You might have another problem.

I have Windows XP Pro. I never had to click on my name when the computer booted up. I had a driver fault when I computer rebooted It makes me click on my name to finish booting up.
