Another Removal Tool

Here's another tool that will do it also. It can be downloaded on a "clean computer", then transfered to a floppy disk. "Write Protect" the floppy by making sure both of the "holes" are open at the bottom, then plug the floppy disk into the infected computer and run Stinger.:

McAfee Stinger Tool

In addition, make sure to visit the Windows Update site and install all of the Critical Updates for Windows XP. Specifically, the one listed at the link below:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-039.mspx

Read about the Welcia worm at the link below. Manual removal instructions are also listed:

W32.Welchia.Worm

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
