Weird things at Boost Mobile

Mar 2, 2005 8:56AM PST

I currently have Boost Mobile with the i285 model, I purchased my 1st phone a couple weeks ago and had an activitiob problem, so I returned the phone to Walmart and the next day went to the local Nextel Store and purchased the same phone model and got it activition, it fixed a couple of problems including voicemail, phone number, and etc, except test messaging (boost messaging), I called them and after 2 calls, they transfered me to Nextel, then to Nextel servers and they fixed it with a simple test to me. I then tryed it and it worked fully.

Problem: A couple days later and I have a Net Alert from Boost Text and I tryed to open and the phone errored with "You are corrently not provisioned for boost messaging".

DOES ANYONE HAVE TEST MESSAGING (BOOST MESSAGING) THAT WORKS ALL THE TIME AND WHEN IT WORKS, DOES YOUR NET ALERT SAY 1 MESSAGE, TITLED "BOOST TEXT MESS............"
ALSO DOES IT COST $0.25/MIN TO CALL 611

PLEASE HELP

Other than that, my phone works fine, 1 note: it costs $0.25/min. to get voicemail.

Anytime you use your phone to check your messages, it will cost you minutes. If you can, try checking them from your home phone and it will be for free.

Text Messaging

Try entering the full phone number 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx

most phones these days need all these numbers to find and send text to them

I have a Virgin Mobile phone and if I enter the numbers like I said, I have no problem sending text messages.

I had the same problem.

I had this issue every 2 -3 days, and had to call them back. It is apparently a known issue, and affects everybody. They told me they fixed it, by setting the expiration date for my messaging to 2010. Don't know if that'll work for you, but give it a shot.

My Text Messageing (Boost Messaging is fix) and some extra..

Graveboss Here:

My Text Messageing (Boost Messaging is fix),
Here is how.... Call boost mobile and tell them that your text message doesn't work, they should connect you with Nextel Web Service and then to Nextel Servers, and heres the big part, The guy that I talked to walked me throught everything, he removed me from the server and then put me back on the server, then send me a text message, saying test, then I view and deleted it, restarted the phone and test the text massaging by sending him a text. Fully working, he even had me restart my browser to fully delete the net alert and restart once more and goto> Web > Test Message> and I can send and receive.

Hope this is helpful.
He also told me that boost mobile does know about this problem and is still finding a permit fix, from what he told me, this is the fix.

Also:
Doing a master reset will not fix this problem at all
and No Nextel or Boost Mobile Tech Support person will call you, you would be lucky if you get a text, (A customer rep told me to wait for a Nextel Tech to call me)

Also, Boost Mobile Expiration on boost accounts is at 1am on Expiration Date, so refill the day before.

Have a nice day..
