Its feedback. Sometimes a separate speaker system or surroundsound makes that sound. You should call circuit city or magnavox, I would try returning it. 1500 for a 32 inch? thats crazy. Good luck with your zzzzzz's.

Magnavox and Westinghouse both have some "super-deals" on their 32" screens.

They're not Sharp's or Samsung's for sure, but they're cheap.
