Weird problem with printer

Nov 2, 2006 2:01AM PST

I am having a strange problem with my printer. Besides the somewhat-common issue of ''cancelled'' print jobs not actually cancelling, every time I select ''cancel print job,'' it seems to add a page to be printed.

For instance, if I was trying to print one page--where in the Printer information window it would say ''Page(s) 1/1--after I try to cancel it, the Printer information window will say ''Page(s) 2/1.'' And every time I try to cancel the print job after that, it adds a page. At one point, it was trying to print pages 17/1. I ended up having to shove a bunch of scrap paper in the printer and just let it run, which of course wastes ink.

Why would it do this? Is there something I need to do to keep this from happening?

Thanks!

I'd tried to search for something like that, but I couldn't figure out what sort of search terms to put in. Thank you!
