I've decided
Mar 15, 2005 8:35AM PST

not to try that web site.

Without knowing what it is I do not intend to risk it.

Why do you want to risk it if you have never seen it before?

Golf Warehouse

I have seen it before it is "The Golf Warehouse" but I have determined it is the web site and not my system.

It seems it is working now

but can you understand why I chose not to check?

You said, "Cannot load this page never saw this before" without any further explanation. Seemed to me that you had never seen this web site before, hence my reluctance.

Never saw before
Mar 15, 2005 10:03PM PST

Sorry, what I meant was while the page was attempting to load, the Firefox progress bar would reach 90-95% complete then it would start over and try to reload again it would continue doing this until I clicked on stop,I have never seen this type of error before, usually the page will just not load. BTW the site seems to be down again at 9:00 AM EST.

I placed an order

Don't really care about why the site it is suddenly not reachable, I am trying to find out the status of an order I placed with them.

Just asking. Why wasn't this in your first post.

Nobody could tell what your intentions, concerns or what the real problem was from what you posted until you wrote that last response.

Next time, tell more, get more.

Sharing info

Did not really expect an answer just "Thinking out loud" and I don't think anyone can speak for everybody on this forum as you just did.

Actually, there is this forum tip.
Mar 16, 2005 12:28AM PST

It reads Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution.

Since you didn't follow the forum tip (which does speak for the forum), what I wrote was to you so you can make a better post next time.

If you read the first replies, you see that one person wouldn't even open the web page in question. If you had included what the real problem was, then you would have better feedback.

Hope this helps you out,

Bob

Thanks

It must be a defect in my system as I still cannot access the site with FireFox or IE.

May have found answer
Mar 16, 2005 8:20AM PST

For anyone interested, I believe I have found the cause of my problem. This particular web page starts with some sort of flash popup and for some reason my system is suddenly unable to handle it. I can go to other cached pages I found with Google and enter the site by bypassing this popup. Anyway the bottom line is I was able to check the status of my order. Thanks to all!
