Weird Keyboard problem and BSOD

Aug 6, 2007 6:12PM PDT

I've had to reinstall Windows on a new HDD after my old one developed bad sectors due to an electricity blackout, and all was going fine until I installed some games (namely, DiRT, GP4, and Virtua Tennis 3). They launched fine, but once you're in the game, in order to press a keyboard button, you need to hold down ctrl or shift or alt with that button in order for it to work. This does not occur with other games (Medieval 2 and rfactor), and when it does occur and i hold down the shift button, I get a BSOD after 2 minutes or so.

This has not occurred with me before, and I've checked all accessibility options and made sure they were turned off.

Any suggestions are welcome. I have a Microsoft Digital Media Pro KB and Windows XP SP2. Thanks!
