When I face this one, I make a list of the CPL files in in the Windows directory and toss them one by one into http://www.google.com to see what each is. Usually I find it.
Try that.

A few weeks back, I somehow acquired a strange icon in my Control Panel.
When I tried installing something from a korean site I visited (I know I shouldn't have done it, hehe), it failed to install after it downloaded set-up file (I think it was). So, I looked everywhere to make sure I don't have anything new installed. Nothing unfamiliar in Add/Remove. All I could see was an icon on desk top (which was same as the one in Control Panel), and I deleted that.
The name of this icon is all garbled because I can't use Korean language in Control Panel. It looks like one of those casino icon because it is a picture of a card (ace of diamond).
Just how one goes about getting rid of an icon in Control Panel?? It doesn't seem to be doing anything (fortunately!) but just sits there. I tried deleting some of junky looking .cpl files but it didn't get rid of the icon.
Can anyone help?
Thanks, SpringMoon.
