Weird cursor.

by arred / April 2, 2006 11:38 AM PDT

Hi, I noticed 2 days ago that my cursor sometimes looks totally independent from my mouse. I mean if I`m moving my mouse sometimes the cursor moves to the top of the screen, or to the bottom, or in a different direction, or I move my mouse to one direction the cursor moves to, but then it jumps really fast to another corner, does anybody have any idea what is going on? I`m using panther.

have you tried another USB mouse on your machine?

It could just be that the mouse has shuffled off this mortal coil

Hi, mr macfixit, no, I don`t have another mouse, I was thinking that it was some problem on the software or ssomething, do you think is only the mouse?

Hope along to your favorite computer store and get yourself the cheapest USB mouse you can find. Do not mention that it is for a Mac.
Take it home, test it and if the problem goes away, consider buying a better mouse. If the problem does not go away, let us know

It turns out is my mouse pad, I got a neqw mouse pad, and for some reason is causing mi cursor to move like this, maybe the light of the mouse reflects in different directions or something like that and it makes the cursor bounce like that.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
