Weird coincidence or time to get a new printer?

Oct 6, 2006 10:14AM PDT

I have a LexmarkX83 printer, it is about 5 yrs. old. It was working fine. Then I unplugged it from my PC. It too is that old, a clone running XP Home. Anyway, when I plugged it back in all of a sudden the paper wouldn't feed. It would just go a few inches, it makes all kind of noise like it's printing then just says "clear jam". It sits under my desk so I don't think anything could have fallen into it. Now I would just think it broke but that's kind of a weird coincidence, plus a lady at work told me her printer did the same thing after she unplugged hers. Any ideas or just toss it?
