Here's why.
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / March 26, 2005 12:20 AM PST

1. Shipping may not be "confirmed delivery" to some countries. Disputes that the camera was delivered arise. This and more leads to companies simply not bothering with the odd overseas sale.

2. Warranty of the camera will not be possible. Most if not all major camera makers have a system of paying the service centers for repairs for cameras sold inside that country's borders. You could have a bum or DOA unit and be very upset with the company that shipped or sold the unit. Again, another strike against doind such business.

3. The issue of money. Some don't want to pay for such until its delivered. They may be possible in some instances or countries.

If you must do this, then buy it yourself and ship it yourself. There are far too many reasons for a company to not do this for you.

Please tell me why I would know shipping rates.

As I wrote, no one would do this for the reasons I listed. Instead you get to buy such and ship it yourself. I'm sure you are aware of who ships stuff worldwide. Then you can ask them.

Check with the USPS. Beware, anything of value that works may not reach its' destination. If you are sending shoes i.e. send them separatly. If it a piece of technology, take it apart and ship as many pieces apart as you can. Remember everything goes through customs can be confiscated and few laws cover international shipping of individual items.

If you feel that way, please answer the question about shipping costs.

This forum is not about shipping, but Digital cameras.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
