Website Feedback: SportsGamersOnline

by SGOThermal / October 22, 2014 2:21 AM PDT

Hello All,

Was just looking for some feedback on my newly launched site www.sportsgamersonline.com we have been up only for a few months. This is my 1st website ever and it has been a TON more work than I ever imagined. From writing content, to web dev, page optimization, to SEO and manager our members/leagues it was been like a second (full-time) job.

Known problems:
-For some reason in some IE/Firefox browsers the site does not display properly.
-Trying to figure out how best to integrate forums and main site.
-Getting people to comment on posts and forums.
-Driving consistent traffic to the site.

Any other recommendations are welcome. I am a hard worker and want my site to be a success.

Thank you

SEO is dead. Except for those that sell it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiVZC8eM_xE among other reasons means those that sell SEO are in deep trouble. Your newer web masters will fret about SEO but the old maxims are the same as ever.

Make what the people want and they will come.

PS. The question about browser rendering is pretty old. I can't guess why it comes up again.

I this mobile friendly?
by DarrellDDD / November 6, 2014 9:48 AM PST

I was wondering if your website is mobile friendly or not? Using desktop so I cannot see the if its adaptive on mobile. Would suggest that it would also display and work well on various mobile devices.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
