Website Creation Using Themed Sites

Jul 21, 2012 4:10AM PDT

Hi. Looking at Wordpress themes (for ease of use & seo) and premium packages for better designs. So much to choose from. I want a unique design with lots of flexibility to change.

Has anyone used Wix? I'm curious why they seem to be more expensive than WP templates? And also curious about email & seo integration.

Any insights are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Wix

You have to pay a little more when using Wix for its easy-to-use feature. It is easier to create design using Wix than WordPress which is time consuming and complicated.

between Wix and WordPress is that Wix websites are hosted by Wix, whereas WordPress can either be hosted by WordPress or hosted on your own server. If lots of flexibility is required, I'd suggest a self-hosted WordPress installation.

That said, a self-hosted WordPress is going to be a little more work initially, but once you're up and running, it's pretty easy to use.

If you want to make your website on wordpress then you can easily get many themes through google but there you can't make enough changes in the design. Whereas designing a new website in any other web application language such as in HTML, PHP, .net etc can be design according to your own choice.

Wix is more expensive because it's easier to edit your site and you have more options and features than on Wordpress.

I personally use Exai.com for my websites because they don't use pre-designed templates and the design is unique (as you mentioned). You also have a lot of flexibility to make changes in the website, like you want.
As for SEO, it's automatically built in the website, and also easy to manage and change the parameters, including keywords, description etc.

I recommend using something like this so you can manage everything from one spot - makes it really easy.
