Webroot Window Washer update query

by djj01 / August 27, 2009 9:39 PM PDT

Having recently updated Window Washer from 6.0 to 6.5. I've now noticed that certain custom software programs that had been reconised on 6.0 (ie Paint Shop Pro 9) are not 'seen' on 6.5
Has anyone else had this problem and possibly solved it?

cheers

Updating and Redetecting custom programs to wash

Have you updated WW6.5 for custom updates? And have you tried to run a redetection in WW6.5?

See how to do the above in their Knowledge Base here

Thanks for the sugestions. I've already tried these, and unfortunately forgot to mention this in my original text.
I guess it must be the gremlins again. I'll accept the quirk in my case, and sort out a manual custom wash.
(I wonder if the 6.0 version shows the paths they used for washing various programmes???)

Cheers

It should and the custom wash plug-in
by Donna Buenaventura / August 28, 2009 12:33 PM PDT

should let you navigate to folders or paths that you like WW6.5 to wash. You just need to make sure that you are washing correct path instead of washing good or critical files by PSP.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
