Webroot Software: The Firewall Plus

Feb 7, 2004 4:03AM PST

They are the makers of Spy Sweeper as well. Does anyone know anything about this firewall? I am interested in getting a new Firewall.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Win 98 IE 5.5SP2.

Thanks.

Dorothy,

do you still have your Win98?? Or did you change to WinXP ?? I'm still surfing around with my WinMe and as far as I know neither one of them is vulnerable in the internet. I have zoneAlarm free only to see what is trying to get out. If you still have win98 is the price not a "bit" big?? The full version can be purchased for $39.95

Otherwise the firewall looks good to me IF you really need it. Is ONLY my humble opinion Happy

I'm still with Windows 98. I had Zone Alarm Pro and would not upgrade past 2.6 because of the drain on resources.

Finally downloaded and using Kerio Free but not sure if it is good enough.

I have Spy Sweeper and am impressed with it that's why I looked into their Firewall, 39.95 seems alot but maybe better then free. I dont' know.

I have Kerio and I recently got a router.

if you are looking to purchase you can get a router [hardware firewall] for about the same price, or less.

with it in place you need never worry about upgrades etc.

I don't know anything about routers and prefer to keep it simple. I can't use Kerio 4.5 I have tried for some reason it will not work on my computer so I am stuck with 2,0.

Thanks.
