It looks great Maithri. Neat, clean lines, and not the usual web page formats.
If I can say a couple of things?
Your web page is made of 3 columns of equal width, of which only the centre one is used. This makes the left and right columns look quite bare.
Can you adjust the width of the centre column to compensate? Or add some images to the either end columns?
When I clicked the music link a music file started to download authomatically. I ended the web page session but my browser froze up so I had to CTRL+ALT+Del to end it.
I am not convinced that automatically uploading music or video to a viewer is a good idea. If they have a slow connection, they could be waiting a long time. Or they could just take offence that someone is trying to download an unknown file to them.
Just a couple of thoughts.

On your index page, the meta tags are above the html tag; Should be inside the head section.
That's a personal preference: I do not like the book-cover effect on websites. Meaning one page that has no info but needs to be clicked on just to get to the real stuff, like your page with just that logo. Adds not a thing but requires an additional click.
After entering the page, I don't like the design. The green is pretty powerful and so much of it, yet the actual content is on a tiny scroll screen. In the code, there's a redundant body tag just before your body close tag. You should move all your formatting to external CSS - that would make it much easier to maintain the site. And you should at least offer an off button for the music. Not everybody likes to be forced to listen.
A few have commented on the green side bars already and I agree that they take away from your main area of use. There are enough graphics and I would say shrink them down some and add some extra white to your main area on the sides. this will draw peoples attention to your main focus.
The use of ALT tags to your linked pics will helpn people navigate. I do see that you have some navigation info below the picture, but why not use HTML to its fullest.
I do like your concept of your photo page. Is this your design or did you get it from someone else? There is however a problem with Saman's Birthday pics, it does not open a new page, you have a dead link and speaking of dead links there is one on the second graphic down on your home page the one dated 5/30/05.
Back to your picture page though, when you view the pictures you have a new window open, is this to allow the uninteruption of music? If yes I may have another solution for you that allows for a cleaner feel.
Enough for now. Great work here, keep it going.
