Question

Webpage container to resize depending on visible DIV?

Mar 19, 2012 7:05AM PDT

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why the container on my webpage won't resize when I click on the menu item to be displayed.
Click the link and then look at the different poems, I want the black container to envelop each poem as the div height varies.

Note the poems titles are active links even though they don't show the hand. (another thing I don't know)

((Please be aware I am a rank amateur in all this, so don't expect tidy coding))

22 errors?

Hi Bob,

How did you find that?
Is there a program that does that automatically?

Thanks.

It's the W3C Validator.

When folk ask me to check a web page for any issue, my first stop is the W3C site. They write the book (or web) on the standards so we want to get the errrors out before we start down the page.

Sort of

I use Dreamweaver MX, then try and figure out how to get the site to do what I want.
But I can't crack the container div resizing on this one.

There are probably a 1000 better ways to build a webpage, buut like I said, I'm a total amateur.
