Question

Webinar Capture Site

Nov 14, 2013 3:04AM PST

Currently I'm using Debut Video Capture Software, to record webinars while I work on other projects. I was told there are websites that can record the webinars for me without having to download more software to my computer. I have been unable to find sites that offer these service. Does anyone have any recommendations.
Thank you

Answer
I can see why such is hard to find.

Most web video content is done with some acceptance of a use clause. That is, the producer usually stipulates you won't capture the content for later use. So if you want webinar content you are going to have to ask it's owner for a copy and my bet is there are restrictions on its use.

This leads me to what a service would be under strain fending off the legal issues and possible lawsuits.

Even if you found one today, if they recorded content without consent they won't be around long.

But on a similar topic. Are you finding folk that want to ignore or abolish such agreements?

The webinars I record are from a company that I pay to use their site and tools. I don't plan on passing them on or selling them to others. I just don't like having more software on my computer than is necessary. I have spoken with the owners asking them to make recording so we can view them later and they are looking into the possibility.
I recommended GoToMeeting but as of now they don't want to spend the money.
I can't attend some webinars at the assigned time, because my wife is still recovering from cancer(3rd time) and wants more of my undivided attention.
Again thanks for the info I will continue my search.
