Question

WebHelper Audio Malware

Feb 23, 2016 3:03PM PST

Recently this past week while I was just casually surfing on Google Chrome, random audio for commercials such shampoo or mobile phone games started up out of nowhere. However it wasn't on any of the browsers I was on, and when I checked the audio control center, the audio was coming from an app called WebHelper. Windows Defender quick scan was unable to pick anything up, so I am currently running a full scan. I have also attempted to locate this application on the control panel -> uninstall a program option but it doesn't appear. I've done a little bit of researching on it and it is most likely a form of malware. Has anyone else had this problem who can advise me on what to do? Thank you. Here's a picture of it on the Volume Mixer, and for tech info, I use Windows 10 on a Lenovo laptop http://puu.sh/nj1rQ/6fb22dc63d.png
