I am new to this. I recently purchase a web page desing program.
I have made my first page. This will be for my homeowner association. My questions:
1. is my next step to have my name registered?
2. Once I have it registered how do I have it accessed
for others to view it?
3. How to I add links or buttons.
As you can see by questions, I dont know what I am doing but I do want to do it myself.
Thank you

You should start by learning basic html code. It is not difficult. If you want to create your own buttons, you will need a graphic program of some sort. (Although there are many programs out that will do this for you).

You will need a domain name. You can go to www.networksolutions.com and apply for one.
The domain name is seperate from the site so you can do that now and when you find a web host, let them know the name you have chosen. (Or they can do it for you at that time).

There are numerous web site hosting providers that will explain the process of uploading (ftp)your files to their servers. You may need an FTP program to upload the files. Once that is done you you can enter www.yourname.com into any browser and view your website.
