Webcast

I have a dell 3000, with a 56k modem.512MB DDR SDRAM at 400mhz, Microsoft XP Home. My question is when I try to receive a live webcast, it starts and in a minute or so will freeze, then start and will freeze again. If I go to a Broadband, Wireless, would I be able to get the webcast?
