Question

Webcam

May 6, 2017 8:08PM PDT

Hello. I have a Logitech webcam. I do NOT know the model. I've had it since at least 2011. I wan't to record videos with it and put them on Youtube. But I don't have the installation CD that allows you to install the software on your computer that you can use to record videos.

Suggestions? Please be specific.

Thank you for your consideration.

It would help you to know what software it is and to find the license key.

If you lost the CD to install it, either find a download on Internet (since you know what it is) or buy the CD again. But it worth a try to just copy that program (the folder in Program Files) to this laptop and see if it works.

Look at the folder name, the app names, then google and look around for names of the model.

Logitech does have a web site so you can fish around there for drivers and apps.

Hope this helps.

All you need is the make and model # and you can shimmy away to Logitech's website to download the installer along with applicable updates.

However, if you're planning to post videos on Youtube using a webcam you own since 2011, I suggest you look for a better alternative. Xiaomi has one that you may like. Or you can try out HD alternatives that are priced below $50.00
