That GHz was a cutoff point for their support of all the nifty features that the software supplied will do. It does not mean it won't do basic webcam stuff. You wish it would note that some features take more oomf but I will not write exactly which here.
I am running an Acer TravelMate 2480, 1G of RAM, and a 1.87 gHz Celeron processor. Not very powerful I know, but generally speaking it gets the job done.
My question is if it is possible for me to use a webcam with my computer. In the browsing I've done online, either the system requirements aren't listed, or (for Logitech webcams, for instance) they are listed as requiring 2.4 gHz when running vista (as compared to 1.4gHz when running XP - now I am beginning to understand why people hate vista).
I would obviously prefer not to have to upgrade my computer, or swap out my operating system, but is there any other way to be able to use a webcam with my computer?
If anyone knows of any webcams that would be compatible with my system, let me know please... thanks!
