I want to know if my Gateway NV52's webcam is supported in Ubuntu 10.04 and if it is how can i get it to start working

do not use Ubuntu but with Mandriva if is an USB just plug it and open the application called Cheese, other open Skype.

Try to use an application that uses a webcam.

Most of the time just works.

On my wife Eee PC 1008HA is already installed, just open an application that uses a webcam.
