web video

Mar 6, 2006 12:17PM PST

We are a small upstart company and want to create a streaming type video interview with industry experts in our market space. Once we have recorded the video we need to be able to send prospective clients email with a link to which they could view the video clip of the interview.

Is there any way to do this with out the huge investment in $$ and Time for learning the Maromedia products or Flash technology.

While both of these are truely impressive tools..it is our hope to be able to buy/rent/borrow a digital video camcorder to just get started.

Any help would be appreciated that could offer a "Just get by" and a "longer term" plan

Thanks

Why not a web cam and your PC?

Such create acceptable video for .. 20 bucks and up. Add a better microphone and you can sound better too.

youtube.com can act as a holding bin or even the google video site.

While the youtube.com maybe useful for personal sharing of video we are in hopes of using the streamed video for commerical purposes that would be viewed by agencies and marketing firms. The quality of the video needs to be better then what I viewed on youtube.com
I am assuming the better the camcorder the better quality the video is?

Of all the video editing software programs out there is there one that offers a good start but not all the way to what someone would need if they intended to make a career of it?
Thanks for any insight.

Career quality video editors. That's easy.

1. Final Cut Pro HD (apple.com)
2. Sony Vegas (for your PC based folks)

These are what I consider to be top notch tools.
