Question

Web-site not working properly on my PC

by GerryLanders / August 24, 2013 1:24 AM PDT

When I try to log into my account on the www.3ireland.ie web-site I get the message "that link did not work". This company provides my 3G mobile broadband. When I was recently in the UK I was able to access my account on this web-site. Both my PC in Ireland and the PC in the UK use IE10 and Windows 7. I have cookies enabled. I have tried using Chrome and Opera but the problem is the same. I have also tried using a laptop which uses the same broadband connection. The broadband is via a 3G mobile connection provided by 3 Ireland. All other web-sites such as online banking work without any problems so I am at a lost what to do. I have contacted tech help at 3 ireland but they could not help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not clear from your post if it's a message that comes from their server or from Internet Explorer (or maybe from still another program) on your PC. In fact it's unclear if it's the full, litteral, google-able text of the message (I doubt it).

Nor, in fact, is it clear what link is meant, but that might be the same for you.

Given the story I'd first try Firefox and Chrome on this PC, then another PC or laptop at your location, then another PC or laptop at another location. Somewhere in the course of this experiments I expect it to work.

I tried that url, www.3ireland.ie in my Firefox browser and got redirected to www.three.ie

See if www.three.ie works for you.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
