There are myriad possibilities for websites. Type any possible subject into google, for example, and you'll find more sites about then you'll ever be able to read.
A nephew of mine became father a week ago; now they have a website (facilitated by a blogging-site) about the baby and everything that happened this last week. A cousin of mine with his wife is having a six-week cycling holiday in Vietnam, and we can enjoy his stories and photos on (also) a blog. A student of mine has a site with instructive material on various aspects of using PC's. Another student of mine hosts a multiplayer game. I'm webmaster of the previous chessclub of my son.
Just 5 examples.
If you install IIS (it comes free with XP Professional and Media Center, and certain flavours of Vista) or Apache (runs on Linux) you can even make a full-fledged website just for your own use on your own PC.

I am very much interested to create a website on my own. But, I am unable to decide the subject/content for it. Being for the first time I would like to create a short website that would contain a limited number of web pages. Please give some ideas and suggestions regarding the subjects/topics to be covered with in the site. Your reply will be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
