Sadly your terminology doesn't match mine. I administrated NT 4.0 Server for years so try to use the titles of the dialogue boxes that you see since I can't see them from here.
In closing, the usual is always true. NT 4.0 required the latest service packs and such would not "stick". I often found the other admin would make a small change and then we would find NT 4.0 misbehaving. Re-applying the Service Pack fixed it. Microsoft never resolved that issue.
We have web application server in the WinNT 4.0.The application is being accessed in the NT machines till today and it has got embedded excel sheets which get opened in a new window when we access it.
But when I tried to access the same from the XP machine, application throws the connect as window and asks for authentication and even after entering valid ID the prompt keeps coming and I cancelled it.It goes fine. But I want to know why the connect as pop up come everytime..
Thanks in advance
