Web Pages Not Loading....

by reddawg155 / May 4, 2006 10:10 PM PDT

When I open most web pages from my favorites list using Netscape and IE browsers, the page comes up but when I log on and/or try to navigate through the site, nothing happens. For example, the activity bar will start moving but will not go to the page I want. Sometimes after several minutes, I'll get the message "Page contains no data". There are a few site's that will load properly and let me navigate through them.

I've tried using several of WinXP's restore points, tried reinstalling both browsers, checked all settings and all were in correct order, but the problem still exists.

My computer: WinXP Home, Netscape and IE browsers, 512MB RAM, Pentium 4, 1.8 processor, Verizon DSL, etc.

I don't know what else to do. I would certainly appreciate any help on this problem.

THANKS, RON

First do you have any pop-up blockers running? If so disable them for now. Then go to your security settings and lower them. Click Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet and click a lower stting like med-low and try it again.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
