Web on DVD

Mar 17, 2005 8:58AM PST

A friend of mine would like me to put his business Web site on a DVD for various reasons. The site is probably less than 20 pages. I don't know much about the Web host, other than it is template driven. I know I could use an offline viewer to retrieve the site. How do I go about putting everything on a DVD so it is viewable from a TV? He wants to stay away from computer use, for those people who don't have a computer. I don't have a clue at how to get the pages scrollable, or how to link from one page to the next and back. Thanks!

I just was looking at that a few months ago. Here's the solution we landed on -> http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/

Take the screen shots and use this to make the menus and link to other screens and such. With only 20 pages, it should be a breeze.

solution?

I've tried all of that, but the screenshot images are distorted when viewed on a TV. How do I get the images to become TV friendly?

Did the screen captures. Remember it was all of 50 screens so it was not onerous, but tedious.

There will be distortion since the aspect ratios of PCs and TV do not match. You could always resize the images in some edit program to get it closer.

It definitely will not look as good as the PC/Apple displays.
