web shield on avast 5 is the real time protection when you are surfing, WOT tells you if a website is safe (although that is NOT sure sure thing, Nothing nowadays is a sure thing but it it is a good guide) . I use BOTH at the same time myself. NO conflicts at all.

WOT blocks or warn on bad sites that is known

to be rogue or serving malware. WOT has database also for domains or website that is serving malware.

If you configure WOT to block, it will not load the page at all.
If you have it to warn only, then you'll see the page with warning.

Avast will do the same but stopping the connection but if you want to compare the detection by WOT and Avast, you will find out that there are malware/rogue site that is blocked by WOT and not blocked by Avast and vice-versa.

Keep them both. And enable the fraud/malware protection in the browser as extra layer of protection (in case Avast and WOT failed to detect which is blocked by SmartScreen Filter in IE and fraud protection by Firefox and Opera... and I've seen such during my test/research)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
