Web hosting company to avoid, unless you like suprises.

I have been hosting sites at Fatcow for years and had very few issues. Recently after a system wide PHP upgrade file uploads were no longer viewable. This is a simple .ini file configuration issue on their end but they refuse to make the needed change to keep things like they've been for over 3 years.

When customers and advertisers complained that images were not viewable I logged an error report with Fatcow's tech support - they lied and told me the issue was resolved. While on vacation I found out otherwise. Needless to say I spent hours reworking scripts to modify file perms after uploading using a simple PHP file move routine. NEVER HOST WITH FATCOW !

Hosting companies have to realize that when they make changes to the configuration files on servers customers can be impacted. This stupid little issue cost me vacation time, $$ and customer loyalty.
