Web Hosting Advice

Mar 30, 2005 9:19AM PST

HI there.. newbie here needing some web hosting advice! Happy

I want to get a domain name for my business idea and then slowly but surely build the web site and add to it as (hopefully!) my business grows.

So right off from the start I only need the domain name and some disk space... as I create the web site I'll be needing more space, bandwidth and so on and so forth. I'll need my web host to be able to handle my business as it grows of course, so I have to take that into consideration.

I know some basic HTML but I'll need to go thru some more tutorials, and learn some Flash and so on, too. So any hosting services that offer help in those regards is a plus!

So, any advice on how to get started? Which web hosting services? Web site power tools??? Web sites/forums to help creating/designing web pages?

I've done some research and it seems like IX Web Hosting, iPowerweb and Globat are among the best ranked web hosting services... Any other recommendations?

OK, that's all for now.. any help will be much appreciated!!!

Thanks!!!

G

Web Hosting Advice - get domain at GoDaddy.com

I'm in the same situation, but I've gotten as far as securing the domain names. GoDaddy.com was the place recommended to me as easy to deal with, reputable, and best price. They were all three.
