This reminds me of long ago where you used a directory to find your way around the Internet. That changed with search engines but hey, I bet there are calls for such today.

The problem is you are often not sure of the site's intent.
Maybe a trivial query, but I want to ask about the current best catalogs-direcorties of sites, if they exist at all. Virtually everyone from yahoo, google, etc. are looking for particular companies or expressions. The last one, now no longer functioning was dmoz. Are they even today? Or is everything turned to business? Wikipedia does not say much. Search example - interest music: I'm going to hit a site like: https://curlie.org/Arts/Music/Collecting/Guidebooks/ ... one of the "best" info about music - AMG is in this category at number 5 (!). Does not it really have any better internet today?
